Thought I'd share some of the things Ella said today that made me smile. Hope they make you smile too. (:
Me: What's that?
Ella: That's a smoke atector.
Me: What is it for?
Ella: That's for daddy's cooking in the kitchen.
A discussion about the bathroom sink:
Ella: What's this hole for?
Me: That's there so that if the sink gets too full of water, it will go down into the hole instead of onto the floor.
Ella: We don't want water to get on the floor....or on our clothes. Clothes are not for swimming (said as she was shaking her head with vigor). They're just for getting dressed.

Very cute. Kyra would be the same way. No way would she want to get her clothes wet. Katie however has a different take (seeing as how last week she got into the tub with all her clothes on -while I was filling it up).
Yikes! Let's hope Ella inherits mommy's cooking talent? But haven't we all had those smoke detector moments!!! I seem to remember that a certain campus safety roommate of mine was once paged to investigate an alarm in her own apartment. Hehee!!
Okay, so in all fairness to Dave I must confess - when the smoke alarms - yep, ALL 4 of them! - went off, it was only because he was following my cooking instructions. But don't tell Ella that! Hee hee!
